Courts have to stop trying to force children to have a relationship with a parent if they don’t want to have one, bottom line. Just stop, if the kids want a relationship they will make it happen.

You fell for the “Narcissist Triangulation” technique.
      I have been there.
Narcissist are good at triangulation and are also good at manipulating into believing the non-narcissist is the abuser and unhealthy.
The husband did not know where his children were at all.
The other participants in helping the narcissist do this wrongful, should have been brought up on charges, as well.
      “Narcissist are superb liars.”.
The father is “Trauma-bonded” to his ex-wife and does not know it.
I’m surprised the Court protected the man’a interest and recognized how he was being abused by his ex.

It's a fight about who the kids live with, and then who pays to support them?
Some parents invent abuse, sexual, physical or mental. I don't know what happened here, but its a fact that the court has to decide for one or the other. Now if you mess around you've just made it easy for the judge to find against you.
The girls were hid, the fathers family didn't know anything. It's a process of elimination, if it's not him, it must be her or agents acting for her.
      Simples...

This is painstaking, this is exactly what happened to me as a kid. The judge didn’t believe anyone who told him that me and my siblings were being abused since my mother seemed so normal and we had no hard proof at the time, luckily the judge made custody my choice but still left the door open for my mother to see me despite my pleads

You were lucky, many aren't getting the choice. Unfortunately, this "parental alienation" bullshit is getting weaponized against abuse victims and we often are forced to live with or visit seriously abusive parents because we are so "brainwashed" and can't possibly think on our own or know that we are being hit and screamed on. Because poor poor grown-up ass dad and his fee-fees are probably more important, can't even risk the slightest chance of him being sad because of such unfairness, let's rather risk the kids and mums being hurt or even killed, as it happens all too often.

@What What now I just commented basically what u said so I agree its possible she did manipulate em however as far as the no evidence thing that also doesn't mean there wasn't any abuse. Especially if the victim or mom didn't report it rt away bruises heal evidence gets washed away or tampered with both purposefully & unintentionally.Theres been women raped that didn't come out til years later & by then there's little to no evidence. Unless the girl kept the clothes it happened in or had some video footage, witness etc. Again there's also been false accusations which is messed up because you're ruining the man's life but also its a spit in the face of real victims. Point I'm tryna make just because some1 makes an accusation doesn't make it true & just because there's no smoke doesn't mean there's no fire

This is horrifying. Something is not right with this story and MN family courts. My own attorney advised me (I live in Minnesota as well) to not discuss the emotional and physical abuse of my marriage because it could be interpreted as parental alienation. Thankfully, I retain custody of our children the majority of the time. He is supposed to get 1 weekend a month which he rarely exercises as well as 4 weeks in the summer which usually ends up being a week. There is something odd about family courts not wanting to know about emotional and physical abuse. The fact that my ex rarely sees his children and rarely exercises his phone time is a form of emotional abuse in and of itself. Yet the courts don't care, they just want parenting time on the books claiming it is in the best interest of the children. My children at 13 and 15 recognize and understand the things their Dad does and says as abusive. They suffer the consequences of a court system that can easily rip a child from their primary caregiver that does not abuse them simply because that parent brings up the abuse that is the reason for the breakdown of the marriage.

We know of a case in MN where a young boy was left in a bad foster care situation when an Aunt and Uncle wanted to adopt the boy and give him a stable home. The family court thought it was better for the boy to be where he was. He wasn't abused as in hit etc. but he was neglected and surrounded by shady situations. The foster care woman did it for money. She wanted the boy gone every weekend so she could have weekend foster car of other kids, for extra money. She didn't care where the boy went. It was a mess.

too many people give abusers more chances again and again, i've been there myself, it's really hard not to... but only one such relationship was enough for me to never allow that again. i still have friends that just refuse to leave their physically and verbally abusive relationships that make them suicidal even... it's insane to me to see them keep choosing such people to stay in a relationship with... it's like absolutely no lessons were learned and it breaks my heart to see the cycle continue.

Correct. And never mirror behaviour, just because there is not a woman on earth who can control her emotions or ability to STFU don't mirror the behaviour because she'll be the victim every time. This was a very rare case of a man winning in the courts. But, both of them sound like lying nutcases.

The most worrying thing for me was the way the father spoke FOR the two girls at the end…stating that “they’re happy to be home” because if the abuse is true..we know he’s controlling?? These girls seemed verryyyy against the fact of living with them…how could they be happy to be in a house with him with no contact from their mother??? We need to hear FROM THEM!

Parental alienation usually starts when the kids are at a young age. They grew up with their father... how can we protect our kids if no one will believe them?
They can’t run away to their mom so they just ran elsewhere.

I see several comments saying that the system and/or judge was corrupt in awarding the dad custody, but apparently it was the right thing to do. If you search up the case, it turns out that the mom was lying about most (if not all) of it, even admitting in later interviews that she made up the abuse allegations and coached the kids on what to say.

I have lived and witnessed both similar sides of these stories. I grew up in a household where my father was extremely abusive. In other hand I have witnessed as well manipulative women poisoning the mind of their children against their father and even involving the police and court. I hope that the judge final decision was the correct one for the sake of the children.

I had to study Parental Alienation Syndrome (PAS) in class and these are all the signs of a PAS case. The mother is a narcissist. She totally brainwashed them into disliking their father so that they would be on her side. She also hid her kids from him once she realized that her lies won’t working. The kids calling their dad “abusive” but being unable to give specific details about the abuse is sign number of PAS. That mom is crazy!!

The girls have rights. The girls have their own story too. If it wasn’t no secret then possibly the courts knew their whereabouts and have investigated them. Not all facts are freely available for some of these stories. If the courts have any chance of separating the kids from the father because of what the find they would’ve done so. This case has money behind it. Some people just want to be the one in control, no matter what the cost.

    • MizzAnthrope

Wow! Wow! Corruption is exactly what I see and can sense. And I can tell you...just by hearing tidbits of the actual story and looking into the eyes of the participants, that there was cahoots going on and it was not with this mother. If anything, you can seriously tell that she was really frightened for her children and tried to help the two eldest daughters to get away from the environment and not the father himself. As we all know, children are suppose to be happy and not absorb anything negative. If they do, it can
have quite the negative impact on them and in their day to day lives. And I should know more than anyone! I'm a subject of my parent's divorce and was deeply affected by it. And I know well of what those effects are and it took me many years to understand that none of it was due to my behalf. It was a fight between good and evil, the ability to survive and the ability to be not killed, and etc. For one, no evidence your honor?! Tapes, police records, restraining orders, and witnesses; Two of them are young adults of the fighting couple in question. What you did do was to get child activists and Psychologists to interview the girls for the truth behind the allegations. However, child activists and Psychologists are known to use mind bending techniques to get to the truth and they are just as corrupted as anything and everything that is flawed. Of course, they are sworn to tell you their truthful findings and yet, their findings is so-so. But, what you didn't do, you didn't examine any of the evidence until it was nearing the end of the case in which you render your verdict. And in an instant, you didn't see anything! What did you expect to find?! Her dead body?! Or is it the kids dead body?! Bruising is easy and simple! Is that it?! What?! Records of doctor visits?! Emergency contacts?! All you did is to look into the eyes of this man and figured that he's a gentle giant, how could he sound so menacing and do these things. Then, you looked at the mother and figured....oh, she doesn't look like an angel, she's a inkling in disguise. She more likely to do this kind of thing than him. And then you point the finger at her; she's the instigator, tosses her out of the house, takes the children away from her and had the aunt to raise them for a while, but then, she's in jail and now, she's not allowed to have no contact with her two eldest daughters ever. She can see the other kids and visit them but, not the daughters. And I can tell you now, all of this was planned and plotted by him just so he can have some sense of security. Bravo! Bravo! You really did your job....not! You became too sympathetic and he took an advantage of that. Men are masters when it comes to that dark side of them. They hide it and they hide it well. I know this too! And he will be back there again. Just wait for the next one, he'll strike when no one suspects it. And one more thing, he is not going to let those girls see their mother ever! If anything, he will most likely take them to their grandma or someone similar but, I seriously doubt that he is going to let those girls see their mother. And this poor woman has to live her life in constant scrutiny and in check because she will be watched closely. No room to maneuver and freedom at a price, and controlled, just the way he likes it! Talking about a narcissist to the tenth power! And far as those girls doing well...whose words are those? His's?! It's laughable!

I have been through this as a 12yr old. My father was very abusive Marine. I suffered broken bones etc. When my mother finally filed for divorce he had another girlfriend , so she thought he had moved on. He changed his mind and kicked in the door to the house and threatened to slit us kids throats. When he kicked in us kids bedroom door I had a rifle and he had a knife, He left just as the cops got there. At the divorce court the child welfare woman testified for my dad that he was great etc. Come to find out he had bought her a car. We had a good judge and he took us kids into chambers and asked us questions. He ended up giving supervised custody to my father twice a month. Big John was so pissed he put his fist through the wall of the courtroom.

Similar thing happened to me and my children when my ex husband brought me to the court to kick me out of the house after a long time abusing us. But I was lucky that my mom, brother and different relatives lend me a big amount of money to pay for my attorney during 4 years to take back my children. I am still paying back the debts but at least I know my sons will not lose an eye or a leg because of their Dad's anger. At American family court, justice is not to be granted or to fight for, it is to buy.

This is nothing unusual except for the fact that there was actually an outcome that didn't involve the father being screwed over. Women generally get away with this kind of thing a walk away untouched. The woman in this case walked away with a few months in a jail, but is a general rule if it were a man he would have been in prison for years for exactly the same thing.

For anybody who is confused.... The mother actually was brainwashing the kids... The 3rd child their son, acknowledged that no abuse happened... The mother took the daughters and left them in that farm house/ranch and did not talk to them for more than 2 years... She was caught n was imprisoned for doing all that... Moreover I also came to know that the mother while her daughters were on ranch for 2 years went on many vacations n world tours... She too jst disappeared.. keep in mind there are 3 more children in David's custody n she doesn't care... There is a book published on this case... Haven't read it but from other Google searches that I found I beleive she wanted a divorce n ruin her husband's life n extort child support from him and hence she did this all...

I had evidence that my child was legitimately being abused by his dad. Even had a guardian ad litem with a report. You name it. My son was asking for help. Well cps did nothing and treated me like I was coercing my son, I took the guardian ad litem report to the judge and judge stated even after the abuse " I am a 50/50 custody judge no matter what". Dad was ordered 6 unsupervised visitation visits, anger management classes, drug and alcohol evaluation and another thing but can't remember at the top of my head and he was going to be able to work towards unsupervised visits. Well he never did any of that because I was sure not to collect child support so he wouldn't come after me for custody. Fast forward to now. Dad is now in prison for having sexual intercourse with a 15 year old. Don't think the justice system knows what they're doing because they don't!

So you're telling me that if I witness one of my parents being abusive- any form of abuse- to the point where I'm afraid of them and my other parent takes it to court. But there's no solid evidence. The court is going to assume that I'm brainwashed, take me from my home and put me in the home of the parent that *I'm very afraid of* ?

I'd like to see a history of the judges other rulings. I'm thinking he may have some pre conceived opinions about women and abuse. Narcissists are drawn to the legal profession because you get to lie on a public stage and the better you do it the better you are at your job (lawyers). For that reason it can be VERY dangerous to go up against a Narcissist in court. My ex threatened me with accusations of parental alienation constantly. He submit totally false statements to court as examples. My kids would have been able to verify he was full it but courts won't talk to kids at all. For me to even tell them anything he accused me of that they would know was 100 percent false was parental alienation. The whim of whatever judge you get will decide the rest of your lives, and they usually take about ten minutes to do so, only considering what they'll allow you to submit or say in that time frame. Luckily I spent all my free time for months compiling contrary and true evidence and got a judge that looked at enough of it that he seemed to understand my ex was a pathological liar before he spoke to us. But those girls are teenagers. They should have had a say and been taken seriously. For the judge to in effect say they don't have the ability to determine which parent they are afraid of after living with them their whole lives, and that HE knows better is insulting ridiculous and misogynistic. Where was the proof mom was lying? He should be disbarred for jailing her.

I was with the mom all the way up until they said she DROPPED them off at the ranch. And just left.....
Also, about the lack of evidence, I understand it. The judge is saying she's basically trying to take advantage of the system because she's put forth not just minor claims, but very "serious" claims, and she has no police reports, no 911 calls, no journal entries and probably no corroborating witnesses. Because she is making such serious allegations, it seems likely that she's trying to slander the man and that should be illegal, and if she did it she should have been charged. Furthermore the burden of proof is on the prosecution, not on the defense. The defense doesn't need to provide evidence of anything, so it's not like they're making adverse decisions with no evidence, they're saying based on her conduct in court it seems apparent that she is trying to run his name through the mud.
Did he really just run up in her house and start choking her? Probably not. You can ruin lives with allegations like that.

Some judges are really stupid. I had a similar situation with my divorce. My abusive x husband convinced the old judge that he was wonderful and I was not fit to have visits with my kids. This judge screwed up my 3 kids. 5 yrs later my x abandon the kids and never contacted them for 6 yrs. My kids are now in their 20s and hate their dad. Had to have counselling, and don’t trust the court system. Never did my kids ever get spoken to by the courts. I never ever did anything to deserve treatment like the courts gave me with zero evidence. My x was a rich business man and nobody believed me how abusive he was. So apparently the judge had never heard of a lie detector? Seems like that might shed some light on who is lying. This story reminded me of a story from about 30 years ago when a mother went to jail because she got her daughter out of the country. A judge kept letting the father (who had been accused of sexually abusing her) have her stay with him over night. The little girl was about 3 or 4 and I kept wondering why he would want overnight visits-wouldn't supervised visits be what you would demand if the accusations were false? Anyway the judge ordered the mother to tell her parents (who had the daughter safe)to bring her back and turn her over to the father and she refused. The judge put her in jail for contempt and she remained in jail for years even though she couldn't see her daughter-at least she knew her little girl was safe and happy. Finally the woman got out of jail and was able to move to New Zealand (I think) and be with her daughter. 60 minutes did a report on them both and it turned out that the father HAD molested her and the mom sacrificed everything to keep her safe. When I see videos of cops who behave like thugs I always wonder what other behavior they are getting away with. How many times do they get away with beating their wives or kids and it gets covered up. It would be great if judges could be fair and impartial but apparently they can't.

I read up on this because this video left me super confused so, here goes for anyone wondering.
    1) The mother is in jail for interfering with custodial rights (because she drove the girls to that ranch) she had 6 felony charges of custodial interference. NOT for "false accusations" or for "parental alienation"
    2) Samantha called her mother from the bathroom the night that they were told they were going to live with their aunt, asking her mother to come get her. She convinced her sister to come along and they ran outside barefoot - across the snow, which is why there are footprints - into the moms car. She then took them to the ranch.
    3) The girls did not recant their claims of abuse. They are living with their father but they don't have a relationship with him.
    4) The girls both hold to their claim that the judge, therapists and guardian ad litem (child advocate) were negligent and didn't listen to them and made terrible decisions in the court case.
    5) This video doesn't mention an interview with a detective by one of the girls where she made it very clearly that she was scared of her father, didn't want to live there, that the home was filled with violence and abuse, etc. The judge did not allow this interview to be admitted as evidence in the court hearing.
    6) It is VERY common for fathers to be awarded soul, legal custody - even in cases where abuse is documented, much less where abuse is testified but the court refuses to consider it evidence. It's incredibly negligent, but not unheard of.
    7) I guess they hid 'in plain sight' because they went into public regularly, used their real names and made no attempts to hide their identities or pretend to be someone else - they just didn't want to go home or live with their father.

Glad I'm not the ONLY PERSON who was like: "What the Hell Did I just get done watching???" That's a pretty bad job by ABC.
      So many questions left unanswered.

Child brainwashing makes me sick to my stomach🤢
This reason is personal, and no, neither one of my parents brainwashed me.
I feel so bad for those children.

Wow. Wtf, this court decision is wild. Sandra knows more than she’s saying, that’s why she’s so calm rn. You can tell she would be FLIPPING OUT if she really had no idea

Such a corrupt judge it seems, how easy it was to get the fact with so much witness. Instead of trying to get the kids to confess since he believed they were lying, he appoints therapist just to get them in communicate with their father. Why is she not allowed to see her two kids while she's able to see the others, seems like they are being imprison by their father with the help of the judge incase they say anything, it doesn't matter if she brought them on that ranch they found their way on national tv all by themself just to expose their father, and they were brought back to their father by force, without publicly denying those claims, and likely not allowed to speak to the public, if she accuses him of abusing the kids that's something he should be made certainly clear of before he is allowed custody. If she can call the cops on this man 20 times, while he's breaking into their homes uninvited, that's enough evidence to proof him unstable, how was all of that just overlooked, this man seems to back by many including the judge, and likely he did all that to protect the house rather than the kids.

@Eureka Moment she didn't bail on them. She was most likely being watched by an investigator and couldn't see them. So her friend was the relay between her and the girls. She was protecting them. The million dollar bond was so she would look bad in front of the Judge or Jury and couldn't get to her kids this way he could file for custody and win. It was all planned out to get the kids away from her (he would not have to pay child support) and he got the house back. Money talks.

@Eureka Moment The husband was abusive. She feared for their safety. There's a lot more to learn. But I think the judge was corrupt and should be in jail. Why are you attacking the Mom?

The problem with all this is that everything all the questions the requirements of proof according to their standards make certain that evil abusers get to continue to harm their chosen targets.
This is why there exists an underground railroad. Use it, people! Save your babies. Run away before the bad guy can figure anything out. Read the book "Not Without My Daughter" to get a feel for what you gotta do.

I'm not speaking about this case but my own experience. I was with my kids father for 10 years never married thank God. But he was a master manipulator a pathological liar and very abusive to me in front of my 2 boys. I was literally stuck. He lied about me and had everyone convinced he was a good person and that I was crazy. I faced torture on a daily basis. He had 2 domestic violence charges against him from abusing me. Yet when I finally got him out of MY house and court began he just lied and lied. I didn't trust the courts to make the right decision and I didn't have the money to go back and forth forever. But I can tell you only my kids and I and his family and my family knew the truth. His family supplied him money and supported him even know they knew he lied on stand and knew of his abuse tword me. It was a nightmare. Now we have 50/50 placement and custody. And he just got another domestic charge from his new girlfriend and she of course went back to him. It's easy to judge from the outside. My kids are finally getting back to normal after 7 years but they really struggled in school and socially from being around his toxic behavior.
